Kitchen’s Best part 2
I decided to blog about Kitchen’s Best in parts because there is a photo upload limit on tumblr per post and I am too lazy to upload them on photobucket or something else to have them on one post. sorry XD
On to the food!
My colleagues told me that the price points are similar to Conti’s so Php1000 should be sufficient. But alas, it was just enough XD
What we ate:
Pasta Gambaretti - the one with shrimps
Wild Mushrooms - the one that has white sauce
and 4 desserts: Mango Sansrival (the one with the layers), Banana Toffee Pie (the one with white cream on top + caramel drizzles), Turtle Pie (the one that looks like Banana Toffee Pie but with a chocolate topmost layer and looks like chocolate mousse because it is), and White Chocolate Macadamia Cheesecake (the other one that doesn’t look like anything mentioned before XD the one with crumbles and looks like cheesecake). LOL. And another LOL because we opted for 4 desserts instead of mixing entrees with appetizers and such.
Even if I knew someone who ate lots of times at the restaurant, I forgot to solicit food suggestions hahahaha. Fail. So we just asked the waiter and looked at the ones with markers on the menu.
So what we ordered + 2 sodas ended up Php12++. Kinda bad since my friend and I were too full to finish the desserts XD
My verdict? Tasty food but kinda pricey. The serving for the pasta was really just for 1 person. Given the price, it would’ve been for sharing on other restaurants.
Pasta Gambaretti - yey shrimps + the sauce was so good ;)
Wild Mushrooms - yey cream sauce
Banana Toffee - I had high expectations but it was just ok I think. It didn’t contain a considerable amount of bananas but the taste was there. The crust was of oreos by the way. (Still for bananalicious hahahahaha. Here goes my banana bias)
Turtle Pie - Was pretty ok. Wasn’t too sweet so we alternate the other ones with this hahahahaha.
Mango Sansrival - Layers weren’t too dense so it really was just thin layers + cream. Nevertheless, sweet mangoes <3
White Chocolate Macadamia Brittle - VERY DENSE CHEESECAKE <3 Dense like Starbucks’ (for better imagery + comparison). It has macadamia brittle on top (more brittle than macadamia though). So I find this dessert just plain expensive. C’mon 180Php hahahaha.
I kinda regret that we had 4 desserts. It would’ve been better if we really did mix and match :/
P.S. I just read that the purple yam was also a bestseller but it’s too late now >_< Don’t have extra vouchers hahahaha.
